I only knew Ted for maybe 3 or 4 years as he joined the same golf club i am a member at here in Sarasota and we played a lot of golf together the past couple of years.. Ted was just a first class individual who was a joy to play golf with. A surprise birthday party was thrown for me this past March and Ted and Beth attended and Ted sat next to me that night . i can remember just really enjoying talking to him about everything and anything. I will really miss that guy. My heartfelt condolences to you Beth and your faimily. Bob Thorpe Sarasota Florida

I was a very luck man to know Ted and his family. They treated me, just a customer, as friend and someone they valued. They proved over and over again they were some of the best people I ever knew. God rest his soul.

Beth, Julie & Matthew, So sorry to hear the terrible news about Ted. Kenny was just telling a hay story about Ted On Monday. We was bailing square bales of hay and it must of brought back memories of Kennys younger years because he said when he was 14 (41 years ago)Ted hired him to help with his hay. 5 cents a bale. Which was good money then. Monday we paid two guys 75 cents each a bale . Ted was a Great man that will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers sent to all of you. God Bless

I just was paired with Ted at latrobe country club in july.lucky for me i got to play 2 days with him.we talked john deere the whole time.he offered to bring me one at johnstown,pa.this weekend.I told him how nice it was to spend the day with such a nice man who never said any bad words,i have trouble finding people who do not swear, and i don't play with them if they do.He was one of the best players that the society of seniors has ever seen.what a huge void we all will feel.

Ted Smith a great Boss and a great Man to call a friend. I know I have left the area for several decades but I always remember working with Ted, Kirby, Dave and Chris Smith when I was growing up In Indiana. I believe while working with Ted I got the interest in flying. When I got thrown into the air when seating on top of 7 or 8 high Wagon load of hay, while Ted was driving out of the Field and the wagon frame broke loss. Thanks again Ted for motivating me to go to college.

I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the Smith family. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Smith, I often heard stories of him while working with his daughter, Julie. I pray that God wraps his arms around the family during the sad days ahead and that the memories you have created help ease the pain. Julie - your dad lives on inside of you. He helped guide you and make you who you are today - an intelligent young woman, a loving mother and wife, a caring friend to all that know you. You'll always be your daddy's little girl. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers Dave, Amy and Taylor Burket

Beth, Julie, Matthew, Chris, David, Terry: As you know, Ted was like a brother to me. Mere words can't begin to express my sense of loss or the degree of sympathy I have for all of you. Memories of the many times that he and I shared over the years, both together, and with our families, somewhat sustain me. As a man, father, husband, brother, and friend, he was larger than life. God Bless you all: Steve Landram
